The studio has just acquired a pair of Royer R-122 active ribbon mics. Ribbon microphones have seen a resurgence in popularity lately due to their extremely smooth high frequency response. I'm really looking forward to employing these on upcoming projects...

 

The musical "Godspell" opened tonight at the Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont, CA. I had a great time working with the uber-talented David Lamoureux on the soundtrack used for the live performances. If you have a chance, check it out! The show runs from May 21-June 27.

 

 

 

"This Distant Sea", (a short film shot on 35mm) was a thrill to work on. As the film was set on a sailboat in the middle of the ocean, the post-audio duties were a fun challenge. Marcus Haney is an exceptionally talented film-maker and composer Marc Jovani did a superb job on the score. Great job guys! "This Distant Sea" will be playing at several upcoming film festivals.    

The Lacie D2 12x Blu-ray burner is a welcome addition to the studio. The ability to store up to 50GB per blu-ray disc dramatically simplifies media storage and archiving duties.

The vocal quartet, "Evidence" has just sent their latest project off to the replicators. Their new album,"Hear The Evidence" will be available sometime in April. Check out http://evidencemusicministry.com to learn more about this inspirational group.

I've just added an Avid Mojo to the studios arsenal. This Mojo provides tight integration with Avid ProTools and creates a comprehensive video monitoring solution that remains firmly locked to the audio timeline.
